Congratulations on the move to the Cloud. I laughed when I read, "Something about the cloud moves me to fits of joy (or generally, paroxysms of short-lived hysteria)" - I can relate!
Though (for me) it's not "something" it's recognition of the same variables that led to the rapid growth of the internet.
